"the only people-development consultancy offering holistic services from all three perspectives of business, human resources and individuals' personal needs."

NLP coaching and therapy

One-to-one coaching with an external adviser or facilitator can be a very cost-effective form of personal development, to help improve performance and build on skills and abilities. By focusing on an individual client's needs and objectives, coaching can achieve a lot more in the time available than a structured training course.

At PDR Consulting we use coaching sessions to help clients:

  • Take time out from everyday working pressures
  • Clarify and concentrate on their own aims and goals
  • Improve motivation and concentration
  • Challenge existing assumptions, values and beliefs
  • Apply existing skills and abilities to new situations
  • Develop new ideas and techniques

Coaching sessions typically last one to two hours, at a frequency to suit clients' needs and requirements - anything from once a fortnight to once a quarter.

nlp (neuro-linguistic programming)

NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) is a toolkit of techniques to help people improve personal effectiveness and achieve excellence in their mental and physical activities. NLP methods have been applied in the fields of sport, business, government and personal development, attracting a large and worldwide following.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming refers to the senses we use for experiencing the world, the way we use language to communicate internally and externally to make sense of those experiences, and the way we programme our thoughts and our behaviour unconsciously. NLP - often used in conjunction with hypnosis - enables us to choose our programming to create the most effective behaviour in any situation.

Along with hypnosis, NLP can be used to achieve a range of personal improvements, including:

  • Increasing work/study/sporting performance, improving concentration and memory, developing the imagination, boosting self-confidence, and achieving more of the potential which we all possess.
  • Freeing people from unwanted habits, phobias, compulsions, emotional problems, insomnia, inhibitions, guilt feelings, jealousy and many of the worries and anxieties of everyday life.
  • Using self-hypnosis can help prevent stress and tensions caused by modern day living, reduce high blood pressure and the risk of cardiovascular disease.
  • Include hypnotism as part of the coaching process and a client can be helped "to move more quickly, think and process more clearly... to face up to blocks more readily and thus get far more from every step of the coaching process." Brookhouse and Biddle, 2006
